The Senior Tax Analyst will work with the Head of Tax and business and finance personnel in a hands-on role managing the day-to-day compliance and planning of the Tax Department. This position will manage the federal, state, local income tax, property tax, and indirect taxes (sales / use / VAT) of the Company to ensure full compliance with reporting obligations and to identify tax savings opportunities while minimizing potential exposures. The Senior Tax Analyst will also be involved with income tax accounting matters and international initiatives as necessary.

Essential Job Functions :

  1. Run the federal and state/local tax compliance process including income, franchise, property, sales and use, and other tax reporting to ensure efficient and timely filings.
  2. Partner with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate information is procured for compliance obligations.
  3. Handle the sales, use, and property tax compliance processes in coordination with internal and external resources.
  4. Lead the preparation, support, and filing of the consolidated federal income tax return with external support.
  5. Support external tax audits conducted by the IRS and state/local authorities, including preparation and review of responses to data requests and notices of proposed adjustments.
  6. Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740 and tax disclosure requirements, including calculation of book/tax differences, review of tax account reconciliations, and preparation of tax footnotes.
  7. Lead the annual R&D credit analysis to increase the Company’s tax credits efficiently.
  8. Monitor federal and state tax legislative changes and implement mitigation plans to minimize tax exposure.
  9. Identify, analyze, and implement short- and long-term tax savings strategies by collaborating with external resources and internal business partners.
  10. Work closely with business partners and other functions such as legal, treasury, supply chain, and payroll on new business initiatives to ensure tax-efficient outcomes.
  11. Lead or assist with special projects related to domestic and international expansion.

Basic Qualifications :

  1. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting; a Master’s in Tax or LLM in Tax is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in federal, state, and local tax compliance, research, planning, and ASC 740.
  3. Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and research tools.
  4. Experience researching and documenting complex tax issues, leading compliance, and collaborating with business partners.
  5. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior management.
  6. Experience with tax and accounting software, databases, and Excel.
  7. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, focused on tax-efficient results.
  8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience at multinational corporations and/or Big 4 firms with increasing responsibility in tax.

This full-time position offers a salary range of $70,500 - $112,800, plus equity and benefits. Salary within the range depends on location, skills, experience, and education. Additional details will be shared during the hiring process.
