Job summary

Withum is seeking a Tax Senior to lead engagements from our Lincolnshire, IL and New Jersey offices. You will supervise staff, mentor juniors, and foster strong client relationships while delivering complex tax returns and planning opportunities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA (or in progress), 3–5 years at a public accounting firm, and strong communication. Travel to multiple engagements and clients may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA or working toward CPA certification.
• 3–5 years of prior experience in a public accounting tax department.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns.
• Review mid-level complexity returns prepared by staff for accuracy.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Manage multiple engagements with different teams to meet deadlines.
• Supervise, train, and mentor engagement staff.
