Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business situations. You will prepare accurate returns for individuals and businesses, and conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.

You will build trusted, year-round relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products and services.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns, including planning, notices, and audits.
• Client-facing, consultative or advisory experience in tax/finance.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors services.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
