Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor to help clients navigate complex tax and business situations with confidence. You will prepare accurate returns, uncover savings opportunities, and build lasting relationships using industry-leading training and technology and a competitive hourly rate with incentives.

This in-person role at a local Block Advisors office involves interviewing clients, advising on tax planning, and delivering consultative service while maintaining IRS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns.
• Strong client-facing, consultative skills.
• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients.
• Must maintain continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financials and tax implications.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive client-focused office environment.
