The Alta Group seeks a driven Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing practice in Paramus, NJ. You will lead tax compliance and planning for businesses and high net worth individuals, build lasting client relationships, and collaborate with our wealth management and planning teams to deliver comprehensive strategy.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting and tax experience and a CPA designation, with strong presentation and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

3+ years of accounting and tax compliance experience.
CPA certification is required.
Experience with business and personal income tax planning.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Ability to develop client relationships and lead junior staff.

Responsibilities

Develop relationships with firm clients as trusted advisers on all accounting, tax compliance and planning for businesses and individuals.
Interview clients to understand tax and financial goals and collaborate with the Financial Planning Team to craft comprehensive strategies.
Lead business and personal income tax compliance, strategy and planning for clients.
Prepare and review financial statements.
Collaborate with wealth management to advise on wealth strategies.
Mentor and develop junior team members.
Communicate with clients and IRS/state/local tax authorities.
Network to promote firm and drive growth.
