Job summary

Serco Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior Facilitator to support the Department of Labor VETS Transition Assistance Program.

You will teach and guide military personnel transitioning to civilian careers, delivering the CORE curriculum in person or online and collaborating with partners to ensure effective job transitions. Requirements include an Associate’s degree with TAP teaching experience or a Bachelor’s with TAP training, strong classroom skills, and ability to engage diverse

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and 5 years TAP instructor or career counseling experience.
• OR Bachelor’s degree with 3 years TAP training experience.
• Experience as a Classroom Instructor.
• Experience in recruitment, hiring and job seeking skills in private and public sectors.
• Must be knowledgeable of the workplace, jobs, and entry requirements.
• Ability to train groups with up to 50 participants.
• Familiar with MS Windows and Office.
• Ability to communicate with Military clients and present to groups.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Extended hours including weekdays, weekends, and some holidays may be required.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Teach and/or instruct military personnel transitioning to civilian occupations.
• Guide transitioning service members in identifying goals and gaps.
• Provide comprehensive understanding of preparing for civilian employment, job searching, and networking.
• Assist in preparing for civilian employment and participation in technical programs.
• Mentor facilitators in standardized curriculum and apply effective facilitation techniques.
• Assist Lead Facilitator with administrative tasks as needed.
• Conduct small and large group instruction on the job search process.
• Deliver standardized curriculum via in-person or virtual classrooms.
• Interact and facilitate with Executive Level participants.
• Meet country-specific employment requirements as applicable.
