Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related technical field is required.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience in electric utility construction is required.
• Experience in electrical Substation, Transmission, Distribution and/or line construction is preferred.
• Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills to aid in resolving compliance issues.
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines.
• Self-motivated and a self-starter, customer focused, and results oriented.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities for Transmission and Distribution projects.
• Prepare contractor bid packages and package instructions to bidders, and coordinate with others.
• Monitor contractor work to meet schedules, safety requirements, and contract criteria.
• Maintain project-specific reports and documentation for management.
• Coordinate equipment and material procurement, staging, and monitoring for contractor use.
• Inspect and verify materials, drawings, and field testing to ensure conformance.
