Job summary

PPL Electric Utilities in Allentown, PA, is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead contracted transmission, distribution and substation work across project lifecycles, ensuring alignment with safety policies and environmental procedures.

You will coordinate with managers, review contractor safety plans, manage change orders, and drive performance standards while supervising full-time staff and any needed contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a diverse and dynamic workforce with responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Enforcing a culture of safety first.
• Fulfilling Human Resource functions
• Drive/support change management
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Maintain job specific procedures for Construction Supervisors
• Perform periodic compliance audits on all job-related processes and procedures.
• On-boarding new contractors
• Coordinates with PPL EU Manager of Safety to review contractor provided safety plans for completeness and adherence to Human Performance process. Reinforce the PPL Value of Safety on all construction work managed by Construction Supervisors.
• Consults with the PPL EU Contract Management Group in:
• Developing long-term and short-term construction contracting strategies.
• Developing performance standards for Construction Management.
• Acting as the primary interface with contractors on performance metrics and, ensures contractors develop regularly supply performance indicators.
• Managing the field change order process to ensure contract change requests are well documented and adhere to SOX.
