Job summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Systems Software Test Engineer to own the testing strategy for vessels’ software stacks. You’ll integrate HITL, VM, and simulation tests, build fuzzing and property-based testing, and collaborate across autonomy, perception, and controls teams to ensure reliable ocean-ready software.

You will contribute to a robust validation framework using Rust, C++, and Python, while expanding hardware-in-the-loop coverage and CI automation to deliver high-quality software for

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience owning test infrastructure or V&V for a production system.
• Staff level requires 8+ years with architecture and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong programming skills in Rust and/or C++, plus Python for test orchestration and CI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the test initiatives for system software, including HITL and VM-based tests.
• Design and roll out a unified test strategy across unit, integration, HITL, and simulation tests.
• Build property-based, deterministic simulation, and fuzz testing frameworks.
• Expand HITL test coverage to real hardware paths and stations.
• Triage findings and harden CI pipelines, dashboards, and analytics.
