Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state is hiring a Systems Engineer III in Test Engineering to verify and validate complex systems. You will develop test plans, design facilities, analyze data, and present results to customers in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Join a team within Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE) focusing on innovative workflows, standards, and cost-effective, manufacturable designs. Travel may be required, and the position is on-site at Blue Origin's facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in a test engineering or systems engineering role.
• Proven experience with the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, verification, and validation.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for system‑level verification and validation.
• Design, build, and maintain test facilities, equipment, and software.
• Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of failures.
• Collaborate with design and systems engineers to ensure that requirements are verifiable and that test plans provide complete coverage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues found during testing.
• Prepare and present test reports to internal and external customers.
• Automate test procedures to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on system design to improve testability.
