Job summary

The Boeing Company invites applications for the Systems Software Engineer, Missile Defense National Team, to join the MDNT in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL. An active U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Onsite work and collaboration across SEIT and agile teams are key to delivering C2BMC software for BMDS systems. The role emphasizes MBSE, software lifecycle support, and integration of Java-based algorithms into operational applications within a defense program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or related field.
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• 1+ year of UML or other modeling techniques.
• 1+ year of Agile software development lifecycle.
• 2+ years of Java development experience (J2EE/Java Spring).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test software systems or Java-based algorithms for C2BMC applications.
• Provide software systems engineering for the Scrum team and product development.
• Analyze and support systems software, including problem resolution and testing.
• Decompose system requirements into software-level requirements with SEIT.
• Develop or modify operating systems applications from specifications.
• Assist with design, coding, benchmarking, and documentation of programs.
• Develop and update software requirements and architecture for MDS systems.
• Create/maintain design documents such as Algorithm Design Documents.
• Plan and perform integration and test activities.
