Job summary

AMD is hiring a Sr. Software Development Engineer to research, design, develop, and test OS-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for semiconductor operations.

You will design and debug software for enhancements and new products, and develop tools to support design, infrastructure and technology platforms. The role requires a Master's degree and one year of related experience, with emphasis on software verification, GNU toolchain usage, memory management, multi-threading,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• One (1) year of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
• Experience with software verification and GNU Toolchain with compilers.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and/or test OS-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software.
• Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, databases, cloud-based and internet-related tools.
• Determine hardware compatibility and/or influence hardware design.
• Work in an area of specialization to develop systems-level software for complex problems.
