Job summary

AMD, Inc. in Austin, TX, is hiring SMTS Software System Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for semiconductor operations.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software for enhancements and new semiconductor products. Develop software and tools in support of electronic design, infrastructure and technology platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, and/or databases.

Qualifications

Master’s or foreign-equivalent degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
3 years of related engineering experience or 5 years with Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with Unix/Linux, GPU/CPU architectures, and open-source development.

Responsibilities

Research, design, develop, and test OS-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for semiconductor operations.
Develop software and tools supporting electronic design, infrastructure and technology platforms.
Drive projects with independent judgment and apply engineering principles to AMD systems and products.
