Job description

Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Systems Security Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. This is an onsite position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise in multiple areas of security technology, including network security, platform security, authentication/authorization systems, application security, and security frameworks.
  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Analyze and respond to security incidents reported from multiple sources, both internal and external.
  • Prepare and update key documents such as Disaster Recovery Plans, Safety Manuals, and Emergency Action Plans.
  • Lead security engineering initiatives for production and corporate infrastructure, ensuring the implementation of robust security measures.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that business applications include adequate information security controls.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Six (6) years of professional experience in relation to IT security with the DoD or Navy.
  • Experience with vulnerability analysis, risk analysis, SCAP scans, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation, scanning for viruses and other software that is detrimental.
  • Qualified experience in accreditation of systems and audits.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in security technologies, including cryptography, system and network security, and secure software development practices.
  • IAM III level certification required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex security challenges.
  • At least secret level security clearance.

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

This position is contingent upon award of contract.
This role is essential for maintaining the security and integrity of NSWCDD's information systems and supporting the organization's mission.
