Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a seasoned Safety Architect to be the technical authority for the safety of our humanoid robots, from concept to customer deployment. You will author the system safety architecture, safety case, and lead hazard analyses with a team of safety engineers.

You will balance performance, risk, and compliance across AI components, hardware, and software, guiding safety reviews, lifecycle definitions, and deployment safety at customer sites.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience with safety of complex robotic or electromechanical products.
• Experience leading safety engineers and safety teams.
• Certified functional safety expert or professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead system safety architecture, safety case, and AI safety integration.
• Coach safety engineers and ensure hazard analyses and safety requirements meet deployment needs.
• Drive safety architecture decisions across platforms and supervise safety reviews.
