Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks a Systems Program Analyst to maintain and modernize complex server environments, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure supporting patient care and enterprise apps.

The role focuses on troubleshooting outages, incident management, automation, and cross-functional collaboration, with an on-call rotation and opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of industry experience or 6 years of industry experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience assisting other programmers.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Advanced knowledge of mainframe, minicomputer, microcomputer, networking and telecommunications strategies.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, debugs, customizes and tunes more complex operating system and utility packages.
• Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.
• Follows and enforces technical and documentation standards.
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting other systems and application programmers in projects and complex problem-solving efforts.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, and supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
• Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
