Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Systems Performance Engineer Senior to join our team in Winston-Salem. The role focuses on defining performance SLAs, planning tests, and coordinating performance engineering across multiple projects to improve system performance and stability.

The candidate will lead data preparation, execute comprehensive performance tests, analyze results, and drive tuning recommendations while collaborating with stakeholders across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of performance test engineering or related experience.
• Experience with HP Performance Center and LoadRunner.
• Experience with application monitoring tools: AppDynamics, Splunk, Wily, CloudWatch.
• CI/CD and Jenkins experience.
• REST and Web services experience.
• Databases including Oracle and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Define performance SLAs, test cases, and test plans with business users.
• Lead and coordinate performance engineering for medium to large initiatives.
• Gather, prepare, and document test data and expected system performance.
• Develop and execute performance tests including load, stress, endurance, fail-over.
• Analyze results and recommend performance tuning improvements.
• Identify, report, and review defects affecting performance and stability.
• Create reports documenting metrics, results, analysis, and recommendations.
• Monitor production system performance and lead reviews of assets.
