Job summary

WebMD Health Services is seeking a Manager of Systems Operations in Portland, OR to ensure delivery and availability of our SAAS platform serving the Health Services division. You will lead a distributed team of Systems Administrators/Engineers, drive automation, and partner with internal stakeholders to optimize performance and security.

Ideal candidates have a BS, 5+ years leadership in production infrastructure, and a solid foundation in SAAS networking, security concepts, and Windows

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of leadership and project management in production infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of SAAS networking (L2-L3), TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Basic understanding of security concepts and auditing requirements.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, hire, and supervise a staff of Systems Administrators/Engineers.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and stakeholders.
• Review and improve operational policies and infrastructure for effectiveness.
• Lead department scheduling, planning, and projects.
• Drive automation to improve performance, efficiency, and availability.
• Address production issues outside of working hours as needed.
• Manage operational budget and costs.
