Job summary

WebMD Health Services in Portland, Oregon seeks a Manager of Systems Operations to lead the delivery and availability of our SAAS platform. You will mentor and supervise a staff of Systems Administrators/Engineers, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive automation to improve performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of leadership and project management experience supporting critical production infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of SAAS infrastructure networking (L2-L3), TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, and Firewalls.
• Basic understanding of key security concepts and auditing requirements.
• Experience with supporting Microsoft Windows in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, hire, and supervise a staff of Systems Administrators/Engineers.
• Collaborate with internal business partners and stakeholders.
• Review and analyze existing operational policies, procedures, and infrastructure for effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for improvement.
• Lead department operational scheduling, planning, and projects.
• Drive a culture of automation and simplicity to optimize infrastructure operations proactively, focusing on how to improve operational performance, efficiency, and availability.
• Address and coordinate production issues outside of working hours as necessary.
• Manage Operational budget, optimizing costs.
