Job summary

eTeam is seeking a Senior Systems Support Engineer to service Roche instruments and networked systems in Pleasanton, CA. The role covers installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, and repair, with emphasis on networking and security for R&D and clinical operations.

The candidate will troubleshoot instrument hardware/software and network connectivity, coordinate with SMEs, and ensure high customer satisfaction. Travel locally between Pleasanton and Santa Clara campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience servicing medical/lab equipment and networked systems in R&D, hospital, or clinical lab settings
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Fortigate firewall/network security appliances
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN and instrument connectivity
• Experience in GMP/ISO-regulated environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Instrument & Systems Support: perform PMs, troubleshoot/repair instruments, install/deinstall/relocate instruments
• Networking Support: establish/start/maintain remote connections, map IPs, configure Fortigate devices, diagnose network issues
• Documentation & Coordination: document activities in databases, triage service requests via ServiceNow, communicate status
• Training Requirements: acquire Roche networking and instrument service skills, train others as needed
• Safety & Compliance: comply with Roche safety policies and procedures
