Acutronic Group in Austin, TX seeks a Systems and Mechanical Design Engineer III to own customer-driven projects and New Product Introduction (NPI) from proposal through qualification testing and production support.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in turbomachinery and will lead design, testing, and analyses of micro-turbine and turbo-generator systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or equivalent Engineering.
• At least seven years of experience in turbomachinery related field.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and test micro-turbine and turbo-generator systems.
• Perform mechanical design and analysis of static and rotating hardware across cold and hot sections.
• Utilize Siemens Teamcenter and NX for modeling and drafting adhering to ASME Y14.5.
• Set up, execute, and review analyses using ANSYS on elastic or elastic-plastic behavior.
• Iterate design concepts to reduce costs and enhance value.
• Engage in customer-funded or internal projects and draft proposals.
• Take on project management responsibilities for engine systems.
