Job summary

Acutronic Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to own customer-driven turbomachinery projects from proposal through qualification and production support.

You will design and test micro-turbine systems, perform static and rotating hardware analyses, and use Teamcenter, NX, and ANSYS. This role emphasizes cost reduction, schedule adherence, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least seven years of turbomachinery experience.
• Combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test micro-turbine and turbo-generator systems.
• Perform mechanical design and analysis of static and rotating hardware.
• Model with Teamcenter/NX and adhere to ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Run ANSYS analyses on elastic and blade/rotor dynamics.
• Drive cost reduction and value in the design.
• Assist in drafting proposals for customer projects.
• Project manage engine-system design and production tasks.
• Oversee hardware from PLM to testing and verification.
• Collaborate to meet program milestones.
• Allocate resources and balance milestones and budgets.
