Job summary

Acutronic is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV in Austin, TX to own New Product Introduction projects from proposal through qualification testing and production support. You will influence product line development and lead embedded electronics design across actuation systems, turbo generators, and power distribution.

Responsibilities include detailed hardware design, MATLAB/SIMULINK modeling, system architecture, and mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering required, MS preferred.
• 12+ years hardware design experience for aerospace grade systems.
• Experience with motor controls and power distribution in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded electrical design for actuation and power systems.
• Develop models and simulations to validate performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive design reviews and knowledge transfer.
• Create hardware cradle-to-grave designs including schematics and PCB layouts.
• Support proposal efforts and contribute to project schedules and cost estimates.
