Acutronic is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III to own customer-driven turbomachinery projects and NPI from proposal through qualification testing and production support. You will lead design, analysis, and testing of micro-turbine systems, leveraging Teamcenter/NX and ANSYS, with a strong emphasis on cost reduction and value creation.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering, 7+ years in turbomachinery, and may prefer a master's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering from an accredited college.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least seven years of experience in turbomachinery.
• A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and test micro-turbine and turbo-generator systems.
• Perform mechanical design and analysis of static and rotating hardware using metallic or composite materials.
• Utilize Siemens Teamcenter and NX for modeling and drafting per ASME Y14.5.
• Set up, execute, and review advanced analyses using ANSYS (elastic/elastic-plastic, rotor dynamics, thermals).
• Iterate designs to reduce cost and increase value.
• Assist in drafting proposals for customer projects and manage engine system design and production.”
• Holistically manage hardware from digital PLM to physical test/verification.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve program milestones and allocate resources.
