Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Sr. Systems Integration Engineer to provide technical support at Robins AFB in a full-time capacity. You will lead systems engineering across design, integration, airworthiness and configuration management while supporting DoD programs.

Role requires deep knowledge of OSS&E, BIT analyses, and system installation guidance for aircraft programs; candidates must hold a Secret clearance and US citizenship. On-site position at Robins AFB, GA.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in systems engineering.
• 5+ years supporting DoD programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering to include design and integration; manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering; airworthiness; configuration management and data management.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain processes to assure weapon systems are integrated, manufactured, sustained, configuration managed and operationally safe, suitable and effective.
• Apply AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes, and issue flight authorizations.
• Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes; provide risk assessments, safety analysis and recommendations; address high priority safety issues.
• Review and assist assessments on program databases, analyze BIT failure reports, and compare to the BIT interpreter analyzer for accuracy of indications.
• Provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices for installation and maintenance.
• Review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for design feasibility and system capability.
• Assist in performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, life-cycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, risk assessments and scheduling trade-off studies.
• Conduct systems analyses including design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessments.
• Provide system integration guidance to the Government for installation and maintenance.
• Provide technical expertise and proper application of systems engineering processes to support development.
• Assist in development and review of the overall system design baseline (architecture and interoperability requirements).
