Job summary

COLSA Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to lead and support DoD weapon system programs. The role focuses on systems design, integration, airworthiness compliance, and safety analyses across the lifecycle.

The candidate will apply MIL-HDBK-516C criteria and AFPD 62-6 to ensure compliant, safe, and effective systems. Applicants must hold ABET-accredited engineering degrees, have substantial DoD exposure, and be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ABET accredited engineering discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience, or 15 years in DoD with relevant background.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Perform systems engineering across design, integration, manufacturing, quality, and airworthiness domains.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain processes to ensure weapon systems are integrated, manufactured, and safely operational.
• Apply airworthiness standards per AFPD 62-6 and MIL-HDBK-516C to aircraft systems.
• Provide system integration guidance to program offices and government.
