Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support Air Force weapon systems development and sustainment. The role requires expert knowledge in systems engineering with focus on integration, airworthiness certification, and configuration management throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will lead efforts to ensure weapon systems are fully integrated, manufactured, and maintained to meet safety, suitability and effectiveness standards, leveraging DoD

Qualifications

• US citizen with active Secret clearance.
• Master's degree with 12+ years DoD experience or Bachelor's with 15+ years DoD experience.
• Experience with DoD/Air Force airworthiness processes and SE methodologies.
• OSS&E requirements and lifecycle management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead SE activities focusing on design, integration, manufacturing, quality, and configuration management.
• Develop and maintain processes for full weapon-system integration and lifecycle safety.
• Apply AFPD 62-6, MIL-HDBK-516, and FAA airworthiness requirements for flight authorization.
• Perform risk assessments and safety analyses for high-priority issues.
• Support system definition, development, verification, and certification.
• Assist MACC compliance packages with ACWG.
• Analyze proposals for design feasibility and system capability.
• Conduct assessments on performance, cost, maintainability, and reliability.
• Provide expertise in architectures and interface management.
• Assist SEP development and establish baselines.
