Job summary

Helixstorm Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to manage alerts from client devices and oversee infrastructure projects. The role covers backups, VMware, patch management, and documentation, with escalation duties for the help desk and coordination with third parties.

The candidate will participate in onboarding Helixstorm RMM tools and ensure security and reliability across the client environment, including on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent.
• 7+ years hands-on admin experience in Microsoft and/or VMware environments.
• Experience with Office 365 and/or Azure deployments is a plus.
• Knowledge of VMware, Storage, Linux networks, networking, and firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Resolve alerts from managed devices and support infrastructure projects.
• Monitor backup environments and VMware environments; perform patch management.
• Serve as escalation point for help desk and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Maintain system documentation and onboard Helixstorm RMM tools.
