Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate the operational software codebase for a GFDL experimental near-real-time hurricane prediction system, including FV3-related components.
• Develop a turbulence-permitting hurricane model with a unified sub-grid diffusion scheme for sub-km simulations of tropical cyclones and mesoscale convection.
• Support a regional coupled high-resolution atmospheric-ocean-wave modeling system to improve hurricane intensity forecasts and storm structure representations.
• Author or co-author manuscripts detailing modeling results for peer-reviewed journals.
• Prepare and present materials (slides, posters) summarizing results for AGU/AMS or other scientific conferences.
