Job summary

AEVEX Corp. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead architecture efforts and define system and product requirements for DoD-related weapon systems. You will oversee verification, validation, and testing, document analyses, and guide IPTs across cross-functional teams.

The role requires deep domain expertise in systems engineering, strong leadership, and ability to interface with government representatives. A TS clearance is required, and extensive DoD program experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Systems Engineering desired

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise and oversight for weapon systems hardware/software development, integration, test, configuration management, and acquisition for new capabilities.
• Develop and document system and subsystem level requirements and allocate them through the WBS via SRR process.
• Support verification, validation and testing processes.
• Participate in program technical interchange meetings and reviews.
• Act as engineering team leader, develop SE procedures, manage project efforts, resolve issues.
• Interface with contractors, vendors, and government representatives on technical aspects.
• Independently apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and evaluate development and sustainment activities.
• Prepare engineering analyses, reports, change proposals, and other documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
