Job summary
AEVEX Corp. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer onsite in Tampa, FL to lead system architecture and derive requirements for weapon system programs.
You will guide verification, validation, and test activities, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with IPTs across engineering, production, and program management. The role requires extensive DoD system engineering experience, proficiency in requirements tools, and strong leadership/communication skills to drive project success and lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering desired.
- Experience with MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, and DoD certification processes.
- Minimum ten years' DoD program/system engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering oversight for weapon systems hardware/software development.
- Develop and allocate system requirements via SRR process.
- Support verification, validation, and testing activities.
- Lead IPT meetings, reviews, and design inspections.
- Decompose complex systems into manageable subsystems.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and government reps on technical issues.
