Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced IT professional to design, maintain, and upgrade our virtualized and Windows Server infrastructure. You will optimize performance, manage backups, and ensure disaster recovery readiness for critical systems.

The role oversees Active Directory and Microsoft 365, maintains cybersecurity measures, patches, and licenses, and collaborates with vendors and end users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure.
• 3-5+ years administering VMware and/or Citrix virtual infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems or equivalent experience.
• Strong troubleshooting of server and systems issues.
• Solid Windows Server and virtualization knowledge.
• Understanding of information security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and upgrade virtualized and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Document and maintain backups for disaster recovery and daily support.
• Maintain Active Directory and Microsoft 365, incl. permissions and licensing.
• Maintain cybersecurity platforms, including antivirus, threat protection, and encryption.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Provide 24/7 on-call or onsite support when required.
