Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a skilled Server Infrastructure Administrator to design, maintain, and upgrade a virtualized and Windows Server environment. You will install, configure and manage software and hardware, keep backups for disaster recovery, and monitor performance 24/7 as needed.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in server infrastructure, strong knowledge of VMware/Citrix, and experience with Active Directory and Office 365. BS in Computer Systems or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing and maintaining a server infrastructure.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot server and systems issues.
• Knowledge of Windows Server platforms and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 permissions/licensing.
• Understanding of information security best practices for servers and devices.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and upgrade a virtualized and Windows Server infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and administer software and hardware.
• Document and maintain backups for disaster recovery and daily support.
• Monitor server performance, integrity, and availability.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal customers on platform issues.
• Provide 24/7 on-call or on-site support when required.
• Work with the IT team to resolve infrastructure issues and support end users.
