Job summary

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer with TS/SCI clearance and poly to lead complex hardware/software integration. You will shape system architectures, manage requirements, and drive lifecycle activities from design through verification.

Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams and executives, emphasis on risk management and documentation. The role focuses on building compliant, certifiable systems and enabling rapid, reliable delivery within secure government programs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in system engineering, computer science, information systems, or related discipline.
• 14+ years hands-on software development on complex programs; 5 years extra system engineering substitutable for degree.
• Strong knowledge of system architectures and frameworks.
• Proven in developing and contributing to technical documentation.
• Ability to design and implement system solutions meeting complex requirements.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving issues.
• Proficiency in risk management and standards compliance.
• Excellent communication to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience maintaining system integrity and supporting certification/ accreditation.
• Familiarity with the system engineering life cycle (requirements to deployment).
• Scripting in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
• Experience with Jira for workload/project management.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD (GitHub/GitLab).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for packaging and testing.
• US citizen with active TS/SCI DoD clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Manage system requirements and derived requirements for compatibility with DoDAF/SOA.
• Coordinate cross-discipline activities; participate in review boards and teams.
• Provide technical direction for development and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
• Communicate progress, risks, and mitigations to executive leadership.
• Preserve system baseline integrity via change control and traceability.
• Support planning, test analysis, and government authorization processes.
• Develop system engineering documents and interface control documents.
