Job summary

VTG in Fort Meade, MD seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead DoDAF-based architectures, SOA integration, and verification across DoD-certified government systems. You will collaborate with government customers and engineering teams to produce ICDs, CONOPS, and system design artifacts.

The role requires extensive experience in requirements development, systems integration, and formal verification, with opportunities to contribute to risk assessments, IPT participation, and accreditation

Qualifications

• US Citizen with TS/SCI with Poly required.
• 12+ years of experience with software and system deployments, Linux admin, containerization, cloud deployments and DevSecOps.
• Experience with DoDAF architectures and SOA.
• Strong technical writing and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure compatibility with defined architectures (DoDAF/SOA).
• Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation (ICDs, CONOPS, SPECS, interface docs).
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering activities across hardware, software, and test teams.
• Support DoD Certification and Accreditation processes and DoDAF architecture views.
• Provide technical direction for development, integration, and testing of complex systems.
