Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a seasoned Systems Engineer to analyze user requirements, develop system specifications, and lead design activities for complex government programs. The role provides technical leadership for integrating requirements, design, and technology, and collaborates with government overseers and senior executives on critical engineering matters.

Qualifications

• 14 years of Systems Engineer experience in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Experience substitution: 5 years of additional Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and lead design and development activities.
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develop technical documentation and system architecture and design documentation.
• Interact with government regarding Systems Engineering considerations and issues.
• Ensure technical integrity of work and deliverables.
• Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
• Develop System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with DoDAF/SOA.
