Job summary

TJ Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) to provide senior-level IT and systems engineering expertise for Cyber Network Operations and enterprise mission requirements. The role emphasizes leadership, architectural oversight, and secure engineering in large-scale environments, onsite at Fort Meade.

The candidate must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly and possess extensive experience across OS, cloud, and development tools for DoD-scale systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related professional experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity, IT, data science, or software engineering.
• Experience supporting Cyber Network Operations (CNO).
• Experience with large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Experience across OS, development tools, and cloud platforms.
• Expertise with secure software development, vulnerability remediation, virtualization, infrastructure as code, and automation in high-security environments.
• Experience with static/dynamic code analysis and testing.
• Experience with C/C++, Rust or other compiled languages.
• Experience with Python and Bash scripting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Alternate Onsite Team Lead, providing technical leadership.
• Provide senior-level systems engineering in support of CNO and mission capabilities.
• Develop and maintain IT rules, system requirements, and architectural standards.
• Define and maintain baseline/target architectures aligned with requirements.
• Support engineering, integration, operation, and evolution of large-scale systems.
• Analyze requirements, constraints, and integration considerations for decisions.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure architectures meet operational needs.
