Job summary

J&T Business Consulting seeks an experienced System Engineer NC to support an enterprise web-based mission application at Fort Meade, MD. The role covers deployments, monitoring, and sustainment across hybrid environments.

You will work with DevOps, software engineering, and operations teams to ensure high system availability and rapid incident resolution. Requirements include Active TS/SCI with Polygraph, 10+ years of systems engineering experience with a degree or 14 years without, strong

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with a current Polygraph
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus at least 10 years of relevant systems engineering experience OR 14 years of experience without a degree
Strong Linux administration in enterprise environments (RHEL 8/9, Rocky Linux 8/9)
Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
Experience using Grafana, Kibana, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence

Responsibilities

Support DevOps and software teams in testing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting web applications
Formulate test plans and identify testing requirements
Triage operational incidents and log issues
Monitor application health, performance metrics, and telemetry dashboards
Execute installations, configurations, and version upgrades across virtual and cloud environments
Provide technical assistance to end users via Jira Service Desk
Participate in occasional after-hours escalations
Travel CONUS/OCONUS 1–2 times per year
