Job summary

Arcfield is seeking a Systems Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support multiple efforts across the Systems Engineering life cycle. You will analyze requirements, develop system designs, and coordinate with hardware and software teams to deliver end-to-end solutions for government customers.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a strong engineering background, and the ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related disciplines with 12+ years of experience, or Master’s with 10 years, or Ph.D. with 7 years experience; 4 years may substitute for degree.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer providing the listed services.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience with RF communication systems, technologies, and concepts.
• Be a self-starter who can manage key parts of complex technical developments.
• Willingness to work on multiple fast-paced projects and adapt to organizational focus.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations of new technologies to determine capability and gap filling within the Customer environment.
• Drive innovation by triaging bespoke technologies and evaluating evaluation methods.
• Assess products and technologies for future device creation.
• Develop timelines, costs, and tracking mechanisms for active projects.
• Design interfaces and integrate system elements cohesively.
• Develop end-to-end systems across their lifecycle and evaluate performance.
• Support system requirement verifications and validations against government standards.
• Coordinate development standards, practices, and procedures for product development.
• Engage with industry and academia to identify trends and leverage advancements.
• Maintain relationships with external entities to disseminate information.
• Serve as Customer liaison and support business development activities.
• Assist with translating high-level strategies into system requirements.
