Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Top‑Secret cleared Systems Engineer to join a mission‑driven team responsible for data‑driven insights and robust network operations. You will contribute to on‑premises and cloud‑based applications, lead large‑scale data analysis, and support daily system administration in a hybrid infrastructure.

You will monitor performance, troubleshoot issues across physical and logical layers, and help with certification tasks, documentation, and leadership advisory on technology

Qualifications

• Strong Linux skills.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure.
• Experience implementing security best practices and documenting architecture.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting of cloud and on‑prem resources.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving across complex environments.
• Scripting (Python) and automation.
• Knowledge of PowerShell and related tooling.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts and storage/data access.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, design, and implement network hardware and server environments, including testing and installation.
• Plan and implement new network infrastructure, event monitoring, and systems management.
• Assist with patches, accreditation tasks, SOPs, and guides; advise on technology investments.
• Lead major technology assignments and ensure security, interoperability, and optimal performance.
