Job summary

Amentum is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems/Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in supporting a McLean, VA customer. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and secure Microsoft-based enterprise infrastructure.

You will work across AD, Exchange, SQL Server, backups, Cisco networking, and virtualization to ensure mission-critical systems remain compliant and resilient. This role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and offers a comprehensive benefits package and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience.
• 7+ years of systems engineering in a Microsoft enterprise environment.
• Experience with large-scale server, workstation, database, messaging, backup, and network environments.
• Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, backups, and Cisco networks.
• Create secure baseline configurations and maintain compliance through assessments and auditing.
• Document processes and system artifacts for internal and customer reviews.
• Manage enterprise patching and maintenance and support vulnerability remediation.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity through backups and restores.
• Mentor junior admins and serve as escalation resource.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, networking, database, server, and management teams.
• Ensure infrastructure remains secure, available, and compliant.
