Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Manassas, VA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead test tools and technology efforts on the Acoustic Rapid COTS Insertion (A‑RCI) Submarine Sonar program. You will partner with the LM Test Execution Lead to plan, execute, and report verification activities across the lifecycle.

The role combines deep systems engineering with hands-on leadership, owning configurations, dashboards, and collaboration with Navy partners to ensure verifiable requirements and secure test approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution with 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience with systems engineering processes, requirements management, integration and verification.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables, visualizations, and VBA/macros.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret large data sets and present insights.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution partnerships with LM Test Execution Lead.
• Administer ELM/DOORSNext and ETM; manage access and training.
• Build and maintain Jira/ETM dashboards for scheduling and status.
• Analyze data and generate concise reports on status and risks.
• Coordinate with Navy counterparts and external partners for test approvals.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate certification through automation.
