Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer IV – Test to lead integration and testing of rocket motor systems, coordinating across internal and external stakeholders. You’ll mentor engineers, drive test process improvements, and ensure safety and quality in a high‑stakes defense environment.

The role reports to the Systems Engineering Manager in the Strategic Systems Department and can be based in Reno, NV or Folsom, CA. Strong leadership and hands‑on testing experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field from an accredited college/university.
• Seven to ten years of hands-on test engineering in propulsion/aerospace or related industries; rocket motor integration experience.
• Strong leadership, mentoring skills and ability to guide engineers across teams in high‑impact environments.
• Experience with MIL-STD and aerospace qualification/acceptance test practices; strong data analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and test activities for rocket motor systems, including prep, execution and post‑test analysis.
• Oversee test software and hardware development for SWIL and HWIL testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Communicate test results and risks to management, customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools and methodologies.
