Job summary

ATR International is seeking a systems engineering-focused tester to develop and execute system-level tests, investigate failures, and identify product issues. You will translate requirements into system, hardware, and software specifications and support root-cause analyses.

The role requires 4+ days onsite weekly and a strong background in electrical, mechanical, software, or biomedical engineering, with hands-on testing and technical analysis across product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline as listed.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or two years with an advanced degree.
• Approximately 5–10 years of relevant systems engineering experience preferred.
• Demonstrated system integration and system verification experience.
• Experience developing, executing, and documenting technical tests.
• Ability to investigate failed tests and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, or electromechanical systems.
• Experience translating product requirements into system‑level solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
• Ability to work onsite at least four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop system integration, verification, and validation test strategies and protocols.
• Execute system‑level tests and accurately document results.
• Investigate failed tests, identify product issues, and support root‑cause analysis.
• Translate customer and product requirements into system, hardware, and software specifications.
• Perform functional analyses, timeline analyses, technical trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
• Evaluate technical alternatives based on performance, risk, cost, schedule, and supportability.
• Support the complete product lifecycle, including design, fabrication, testing, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Recommend improvements to products, testing processes, and engineering systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
• Manage assigned projects or technical processes from design through implementation.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, or work review to junior engineering professionals when required.
