QinetiQ US is actively seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to serve as a Test and Evaluation Lead for the U.S. Army C5ISR Center Javelin Seeker effort.

The role provides programmatic and technical oversight of contractor test activities across the acquisition life cycle, ensuring alignment with requirements, risk, and decision needs. The candidate acts as a technical advisor to government and industry stakeholders, supporting T&E strategy, readiness assessments, and independent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 8+ years in systems engineering, test and evaluation, or related defense programs.
• Experience with acquisition-level verification across life cycle.
• Experience leading contractor test activities.
• Developing, reviewing, or assessing test plans and verification documentation.
• Experience with requirements development, verification planning, and traceability.
• Experience with missile/EO/IR sensors or similar hardware systems.
• Strong writing and briefing skills.
• Active DoD Secret or higher clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and programmatic oversight of contractor-executed test and evaluation activities.
• Develop, review, update, and staff T&E strategies, test plans, verification approaches, and qualification documentation.
• Ensure traceability between system requirements, verification methods, qualification events, and test results.
• Support T&E planning across the full acquisition life cycle.
• Lead or support Test and Evaluation WIPTs and TRRs.
• Review contractor-developed test procedures and reports for rigor and compliance.
• Coordinate with government organizations, test centers, and contractor teams.
• Support independent technical assessment of test adequacy and risks.
• Evaluate test discrepancies and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical briefings and leadership recommendations.
