Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Systems Engineering/Technical Lead for the Applied Technology group. You will drive requirements, architecture, and test strategies across multiple wireless products, owning the lifecycle from design to deployment.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with software, hardware, FPGA, and test groups, and interface with customers to shape use cases and roadmaps. Travel occasionally may be required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer, Software or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in embedded software and/or electrical architecture.
• Experience in requirements and test management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• 8+ years design experience with 2+ years in leadership.
• U.S. citizen able to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive product and feature requirements, architecture, design, and test strategy with customers and teams.
• Author requirements, system design, and test plan documentation, and manage their realization.
• Own multiple projects and manage reprioritization as priorities shift.
• Develop technology and product roadmaps.
• Mentor project teams and maintain engineering momentum.
• Collaborate across Software, Electrical, FPGA and Test teams.
• Interface with customers to develop use cases and requirements.
• Communicate status in meetings and reports.
• Occasional travel to customer meetings.
• Contribute to BD and proposals.
