Job summary
SteelGate LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer / Technical Lead to provide enterprise-level IT systems engineering for a U.S. Government environment at Quantico, VA.
This full-time role requires a DoD Secret clearance and expertise across Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and cloud/virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and Microsoft 365. Qualifications
- 8+ years of IT systems engineering, systems administration, or enterprise infrastructure experience.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Experience with Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP/LDAP/LDAPS, PKI, and enterprise identity services.
- Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs and IAVA/IAVM requirements.
Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise networks and systems.
- Lead Tier III engineering support and incident analysis.
- Develop SOPs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
- Plan upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.
- Coordinate with Cybersecurity, RMF/ATO, and cross‑functional teams.
