Job summary

STEELGATE LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain large-scale enterprise networks for U.S. Government IT environments. You will install, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless infrastructures, and Cisco equipment across multiple sites.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance, CCNP, and experience with security-hardening, DISA/STIGs, and network-management tooling. Geographically dispersed operations demand strong collaboration with Cyber, Cloud, and Systems

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive network administration or engineering experience.
Active DoD Secret clearance and CCNP certification required.
Experience with enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN technologies.
Knowledge of DISA/STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and DoD security standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-disciplinary work.

Responsibilities

Engineer, configure, administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
Configure Cisco equipment and network-management tools; manage IP addressing and VLANs.
Support IPAM, connectivity for users, servers, and cloud services; coordinate with providers.
Provide Tier III escalation, root-cause analysis, and incident response for complex outages.
Maintain security baselines and participate in change-management and documentation.
