Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for our Enterprise Services team in Salt Lake City. This hands-on role focuses on database administration, application infrastructure, and automation to improve reliability and scalability.

You will manage SQL Server environments, support enterprise applications, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver efficient, secure technology solutions across the organization.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related role.
• Strong SQL Server administration including performance tuning and backup/recovery.
• Proficiency with scripting/automation (PowerShell and/or Python).
• Experience integrating systems via APIs and automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Database, server infrastructure and application upgrades (primary focus).
• Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments with performance tuning.
• Provide troubleshooting for database and infrastructure issues.
• Own OS and app upgrade projects across 20+ server-hosted applications.
• Develop and maintain enterprise monitoring, automation, and governance.
