Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to perform conceptual design, analysis, development, and testing of complex systems for NASA, military, and commercial applications.

The role requires foresight, creativity, and leadership within the Space Sector’s Actuation Systems Business Unit. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar systems/design engineering role.
• Proficiency with Cameo and DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System).
• Proficiency with modeling and analysis tools, preferably MATLAB/Simulink.
• Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems architecture, interface definition, and requirements validation with internal program teams.
• Create system-level models, models as requirements, and simulations to support solution architectures with customers.
• Develop system level requirements and lead verification of requirements.
• Communicate technically with customer representatives and suppliers.
• Lead design and provide technical leadership within Moog’s program scope.
• Create concise reports and proposal write-ups describing design decisions and analyses.
• Generate and maintain test and analysis cases for systems and subsystems.
• Maintain traceability of test and analysis cases to requirements.
• Lead system or subsystem-level integration and test.
• Experience with developing Cameo models.
• Experience in laying out system architectures.
• Mentor younger engineers.
